Mindmapping

Why does Mind Mapping work?

Mind Maps organize the information in the same way your brain organizes information. This makes it very easy and natural to understand.

Our brains like to think in pictures. The flowing curves and colorful pictures that are created when MindMapping create powerful images for your brain to remember.

We eeach have two halves to our brains which think in different ways. The left half thinks linearly following direct linkages to related ideas. Our right brain likes to see the whole picture with colors and flow.

A Mind Map will cater to both sides of the brain at the same time, which makes it a great way of storing and recalling information, presenting things to other people, and brainstorming new ideas.

Mind mapping is intuitive.

It unlocks your deep creativity and combines logic, art and information.

It also breaks down communication barriers, bringing your ideas to others in a way you can't easily express.

Planning Using Mind Maps

It has been said (many times) that "if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail". When you are really working on getting things done, you need solid planning methodologies in place.

The natural layout of Mind Maps ensures that the overall goal is kept in view all the time, and that the main objectives (the first level branches) are always naturally being supported by the sub-branches which break things down into sub-objectives until finally you get to task level.

Brainstorming Using Mind Maps

Using brainstorming techniques, you can put together a Mind Map of a project that shows everyone where they fit in, and why each part of the project is important, and how it relates to the overall goals and objectives.

This makes it easy to make sure that there is nothing forgotten in the early planning and scoping exercises, as well as being a great tool for presenting to stakeholders in the project. If you are trying to get funding for a project, it makes it much easier when the project plan is drawn out as a Mind Map. Everyone can see what the objectives are for the project, how they are going to be achieved, the tasks that are required to achieve the tasks, as well as the resources that are required.

Innovation Using Mind Maps

Mind maps are flexible and powerful tools to help you push the limits of what's possible while keeping your mind focused. To innovate, we need that flexibility, and we can't think of a better way to get you going there too.

Take these innovations to heart but be sure to dream up your own. Let mind mapping work for you, and let your own innovations shine through. This is science mixed with art. The results are beautiful and powerful.
